BASIS members attending CropTec have the chance to earn up to 12 BASIS points across the two day event.
On Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 November, there are two points available per day for attendance, and a further four points each day for members participating in the knowledge trail.
Stephen Jacob, BASIS CEO, explains that members should visit the BASIS stand in Hall 2, stand 2, and present their membership card to gain two points for attendance. Those without their card can simply fill out a form with their details.
“To complete the CropTec knowledge trail, members need to pick up a stamp-card from the BASIS stand, and then visit the participating exhibitor stands to complete an activity,” says Stephen.
“Once completed, the card will be stamped up to four times, and should then be handed in to the BASIS stand to receive the points.
“This can be done each day, to receive a total of 8 points to add to those collected for attending the show.”
BASIS quality of soils course
As well as being on-hand to support members collecting points, the BASIS team will be showcasing the range of courses, including its latest offering, quality of soils.
“This qualification builds on the success of existing BASIS modules as well as the knowledge from the ‘Foundation in Soils’ course,” explains Stephen.
“It gives further insight into improving the resilience of farming systems through increased understanding of the soil ‘ecosystem’.”
