Jamie Stotzka, an industry leading expert in bioagronomy, has joined Frontier Agriculture in the national role of Soil & Plant Health Specialist.
Speaking about Jamie’s appointment Andrew Flux, Commercial Strategy Director for Frontier, said: “Soil and plant health is a key area of investment for us. Jamie will be responsible for supporting our agronomy and technical teams through the further development of our soil and plant health strategy, and Frontier’s Soil Life initiative; all of which help inform the advice we give to our farmer customers.
“Jamie will work closely with Frontier’s existing commercial, technical and 3DThinking trials teams. She will also have close links with our colleagues at Intracrop, helping them to develop farm solutions such as adjuvants and biostimulants which optimise plant health and the enhance the performance of inputs.”
Jamie added: “I am passionate about working with farmers and agronomists to develop and share new approaches to sustainable crop production. With the loss of some actives and increasing challenges such as resistance, taking a biological approach to crop production has never been more appropriate. I am really excited to join Frontier because we will have the resource and commitment necessary to explore and introduce innovative solutions that encourage a positive interactive relationship between plants and beneficial micro-organisms.”
Jamie brings with her a wealth of experience in this field, having worked for the past four years as a researcher and bioagronomist at Plantworks, and prior to that at NIAB/EMR.
