Independent standards setting organisation, BASIS, are working alongside the CropTec show organisers and will be hosting a ‘Careers Corner’ as part of the annual CropTec event for the first time.
The ‘Careers Corner’ will be a dedicated area of the show with stands focused on career development, training and education and welcomes everyone attending CropTec whether you are a student, graduate or someone looking for their next career move.
Jade Prince, business development executive at BASIS, explained why careers corner will be such an important part of this year’s CropTec show;
“The careers corner has been developed this year to highlight the important role career development has in helping agriculture advance towards a more sustainable future. A career in agriculture provides a range of opportunities in an exciting and growing industry which is actively seeking people with a range of skills to join the profession. The careers corner therefore provides people who may have previously been unaware of these potential opportunities to find out what the sector has to offer.”
“BASIS will be hosting two seminars each day with a focus on training and career development. We also have a CV and interview clinic with recruitment specialists offering in-depth knowledge of the agricultural industry on a 1:1 basis. It’s a great opportunity for networking and developing transferable skills.”
“For anyone considering a career in agriculture then Careers Corner will provide you with the inspiration and direction you need to develop a successful career.”
The CropTec Show, 24th-25th November, is at the East of England Show Ground, Peterborough.
