The Krone Group has announced a record-breaking year as it reports generating sales of over €2.5 billion in the 2021/2022 business year – a 15 percent increase in previous year’s sales.
Bernard Krone, chairman of the Krone Group supervisory board, says that the organisation is grateful to be moving in a positive direction, despite increasingly fragile supply chains.
“Our agricultural machinery division has made significant progress with an increase in sales of €14.7 million in 2021/2022 compared to the previous financial year,” he says.
Krone has also seen global growth in its workforce, with the number of employees increasing by 6.1%, to a total of 5,768.
“We rely on a high level of commitment and loyalty from our employees, which I believe to be a decisive factor in our recent success,” says Mr Krone.
Facing challenges
“While we continue to face many challenges at this time, along with the rest of our industry, we’ve successfully managed to expand the company.”
In the past year, the Krone Group has also invested considerable amounts into its research and development.
The latest developments can be seen in the launch of its new grassland machinery package.
This includes the EasyCut F 400 CV fold mower – the world’s widest front folding mower, a fully automated bale wrapper – the EasyWrap 156 T and the new 980 wide body BiG X forager.
Advances to the Big Pack square baler and forage wagons have also been brought to the market in 2022.
“We’re excited to continue on the theme of new products into 2023, with the launch of the GX general-purpose trailer, which was officially brought to the UK market at LAMMA earlier this month. The creation of the GX drew on our expertise in the commercial vehicle sector to bring innovation into the agricultural sector,” says Mr Krone
