EOS Crop Monitoring has been selected as “Yield Forecasting Solution of the Year” in the 2022 AgTech Breakthrough Awards conducted by AgTech Breakthrough, a leading market intelligence organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies and products in the global agricultural and food technology markets today.
EOS Crop Monitoring from EOS Data Analytics (EOSDA) is an online satellite field monitoring service that collects all the important information about the state of crops in one tool, providing crucial data on the state of crops during different stages of their growth and allowing farmers to make the most informed and timely decisions.
EOSDA technology allows growers to diminish carbon dioxide emissions and develop sustainable agriculture methods without financial losses. EOSDA combines data retrieved from satellite imagery with AI technologies and proprietary algorithms to analyze the state of crops within farms and trees growing in forest stands to drive businesses and implement sustainable practices globally.
Early detection
The analytics retrieved from satellite imagery helps detect crop growing issues early on, rationalize fertilizers application and water consumption, and save fuel due to a smaller number of field trips. Additionally, field monitoring ensures timely detection of crop health issues, including heat/cold/water stress, diseases, pests, weeds, and more. Early-stage detection of these anomalies speeds up the decision-making process, allowing growers to save time, reduce costs, and increase yields.
Meanwhile, enhanced satellite-driven scouting improves field management thanks to precise problem area detection, guiding the scouts in the fields, saving their time and efforts. Field owners can set scout tasks online using satellite maps, while the platform automatically notifies the assignee. Scouts can work in the fields using the mobile version of the app even without an internet connection, adding threats to snapshots of stressed crops to the reports.
Lastly, vegetation and productivity maps, generated directly on the platform using reliable satellite data and vegetation indices, allow growers to perform variable-rate application of seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, minimizing waste of costs and resources while maximizing crop productivity.
“We’re grateful for this recognition from AgTech Breakthrough. We are confident that deployment of space-driven tech can shorten yield dividends helping food producers address their everyday agricultural challenges,” said EOS Data Analytics CEO Artiom Anisimov. “Our mission is to enable each sector of the agriculture industry to introduce smart, sustainable agriculture practices that ensure the security of the food supply on Earth and help mitigate climate change,” said Artiom Anisimov, EOS Data Analytics CEO.
Ag-Tech breakthrough awards
The mission of the annual AgTech Breakthrough Awards program is to conduct the industry’s most comprehensive analysis and evaluation of agricultural and food technology categories, including Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based agricultural technologies, farm management, indoor farming, food quality, data analytics and many more. This year’s program attracted more than 1,600 nominations from over 15 different countries throughout the world.
“The biggest problem food producers face is a lack of analytics data regarding crop development, fields productivity, yield prediction, and fertilizer application. Smart data-driven decisions in the agriculture industry can help with sustainability as well as better value for both producers and consumers,” said Bryan Vaughn, Managing Director, AgTech Breakthrough. “EOS Crop Monitoring can assist food producers in improving their operations that eventually will result in fewer expenses, higher profit, and more optimized farming business. Congratulations on winning the ‘Yield Forecasting Solution of the Year’ award,” said Bryan Vaughn, managing director, AgTech Breakthrough.
