Farmacy plc, the leading national independent agronomy advice company, has purchased Allium & Brassica Agronomy Ltd and the Allium & Brassica Centre Ltd.
This latest acquisition expands the specialist agronomy side of the Farmacy business within the onion bulb and brassica sectors where Farmacy is already a leading advisor. The business also advises on a significant tonnage of the UK’s onion storage.
“We are looking forward to continuing the innovation in the onion bulb and vegetable brassica sectors in which Allium & Brassica Agronomy and the Allium & Brassica Centre has been a leader for the last forty years,” says Farmacy chairman, Mike Young.
Andy Richardson will continue as general manager ably supported by the existing team, and he believes that this sale underpins the long-term future of the business and in this way, will continue to serve the best interests of clients and colleagues for many years to come.
The business will continue to run as Allium & Brassica Agronomy from the existing site at Kirton, Lincolnshire. Allium Seeds UK Ltd is unaffected by this change and remains an entirely separate company.
